What we collect
Email and display name; your practice recordings and their transcripts; self-ratings, peer feedback, and feedback ratings; your stated practice goal; product analytics events only if you consent at onboarding; your email if you request access before a place is available.
How video is handled — the part that matters
Recordings upload directly to our video provider and never transit our servers. Playback is private and signed; there are no download links. Raw videos delete automatically: seven days for an individual practice take, fourteen for a take in a coach-run group, and your before-and-after benchmark takes at the end of your program. You can delete any video immediately in-product. Deletions are confirmed and audit-logged. Transcripts and feedback persist as your progress record after video deletion. Reviewer voice notes are transcribed and the audio is immediately discarded. We do no biometric identification, face recognition, or emotion analysis. If you switch on the optional visual check, still frames sampled from your rep are sent once to our AI provider to look at setup and delivery craft only — where your eyes are pointed, how you are framed, the light, and how much you move. Those frames are not stored, and the check never rates your expression, your appearance, or how you come across. It is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time on the record screen.
Processors we use
Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Mux (video storage/streaming), Deepgram (transcription), Anthropic (AI feedback), Resend (email), Stripe (payments, when applicable). Each receives only what its function requires. We do not sell personal data and do not use your content for advertising or to train models.
Who sees your content
Only the take you deliberately choose to share is seen by anyone else, and only by the two reviewers matched to it. They see the video, its prompt, the audience it was aimed at, your display name, and your stated practice goal — not your email or other account details. There is no public feed and no way to browse for a person or a video. Reviews come back to you without reviewer names. Everything you record and do not share stays private to you. If you are in a coach-run group, your coach sees that group's activity and can access its content for moderation and safety — disclosed when you join. Separately, a small number of authorized staff may access recordings only when necessary to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or terms violations, to respond to a security incident, or as required by law; such access is logged.
Your rights
Access, correct, or delete your data by contacting us; delete recordings directly in-product. Analytics consent can be withheld at onboarding without losing product features. We respond to requests at support@reptake.com.
Retention & security
Raw video: per the schedule above. Account and progress data: for the life of your account. Access-request emails: until you enroll or ask us to remove you. Transport encryption everywhere; at-rest encryption via our providers; access is authorization-gated and audit-logged.
Changes
Material changes will be announced in-product or by email.
